Geographical Position and Climate of Idaho

Idaho is a state in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. It borders six states: Montana to the east and northeast, Wyoming to the east, Nevada and Utah to the south, and Washington and Oregon to the west. To the north, it shares a small portion of the Canadian border with the province of British Columbia.

Characterized by mountainous landscapes, vast swaths of protected wilderness, and outdoor recreation areas, Idaho’s topography is diverse and includes areas such as the Rocky Mountains and the Snake River Plain. With Boise as its capital and largest city, Idaho also plays an important role in the agricultural sector, being one of the largest producers of potatoes in the country.
